While some people would prefer that there were no firearms in the world, because they believe it is one of the sources of evil, others have grown fond of guns. And since we are equal, both groups should be wished to have their wishes fulfilled. Just as it should be with people who are somewhere in between these opposites. If someone doesn`t want to come into contact with guns, they should be able to avoid them, and if someone has grown fond of them, they should at least be able to shoot them from time to time.
But firearms are a rather tricky thing. Unlike many other things, they are no fun. And so, although those who don`t like firearms manage to escape them, because we don`t live in any Wild West, those who do, unfortunately, are often not satisfied. Whoever wants to own a firearm must first fulfill everything that is prescribed in connection with it. And the laws regarding firearms are quite strict here. So someone has to take great care to obtain permission to own a firearm, and only then can they buy and use it. And some of us are unlucky. Maybe because such procedures are too complicated for them and guns are expensive, maybe because they can`t even get a gun license.
So many Czechs would certainly like to shoot, at least occasionally, but guns remain inaccessible to them. And they are so disappointed.
But no one actually needs to be that disappointed. Even those who don`t have their own firearm can shoot. It sounds paradoxical, but it`s true. If you want, you can visit a Prague gun range in the very center of our country. And there, instructors will lend you the gun of your dreams, teach you how to use it, and for a fee, let you shoot. At targets, of course.
Because it`s safe here, it`s no problem to satisfy your shooting passion. Czechs and foreigners will have their way here, as long as you can communicate in English. And if you`re longing in vain for the opportunity to try out a gun, you`ve come to the right place.
